The assistant was happy to exchange but only if I paid the difference between to lowest price they had ever sold that item for and the current price. I wasn't after any sort of refund just a straight swap. But no. No. No. It's company policy. She said. She was the manager and there was nothing she could do, even in the interests of good customer service. I was about to spend $30 on something else. So they lost to $30 sale for being so stupid.
